So now I know that the thing they call "morning sickness" is not infact something that just happens in the morning. It happens whenever your blood sugar level drops and yet get hungry and with me, it's mainly worse at tea time. Blee.
It's such a strange concept, I feel constantly hungry but I don't want to eat, I can't eat loads and so I'm resigned to eating little and often. This is great when I'm at home but it's making packed lunches quite a torture. And my sense of smell is all of a sudden way more sensitive than before. It's really odd but that sets me off as well. if I smell something bad, bang, I have to sit down and wait for the waves of nausea to pass. Vile.
One thing I love is food and bean is putting me off it! I hope s/he appreciates it!
Anyway, this week
Your uterus has doubled in size in just two months but you're unlikely to look pregnant yet, (this is true I just look fatten than normal) even though inside you may be on an emotional rollercoaster. If you could see your baby, you'd probably notice eyelids forming, the nubs where fingers and toes are beginning to grow, and a tiny heart beating beneath parchment-thin skin. This is a critical stage when many major organs are forming.
Nice to know...might explain all the weird rumblings and twinges I'm having!
Over the weekend we didn't do much which was great. On friday I popped into the swan which was as mad as everyone else was merrily quaffing ale and I was sipping water. Unheard of me thinks. It was nice to catch up with H, Lee, Chelle, Tom, Will, Debs and Dylan tho. Its gonna be strange when bean is born having to miss out on the usual evenings like this. It makes me feel a little sad in some ways that I won't have that freedom but it also doesn't bother me much as this is something so much more. I think it's the only time I notice the age difference between me and my "playmates" although I'm not retiring altogether and when bean can be baby sat I'll enjoy a swift magners every now and again.
Bumped into mr Diz though which was a pleasure as ever, I've not seen him in a while.
Sunday was D day, al and I with my parents assistance went round B&Q plotting a revamped bathroom. This is due to a slightly disturbing incident involving the shower which blew up before bank holiday but didn't appear to trip the fuse. This is fine cept in my house, even a bulb going trips the fuse box so I was alarmed. So starting this week the electricians are moving in to sort it out and hopefully make it a little more reassuringly safe - and then we can do the bathroom. 2 jobs done, about 1000 to go, including de plastering ALL the downstairs living area and replastering before we can decorate. "joy"
Altho one good thing to come from this drive to do stuff is I can get rid of the VILE bottle green carpet out of my living area which I despise, oh yeh, and I might actually have the start of a nice house come april!
Have to keep hoping the labour government managed to salvage the economy some otherwise I might not have a house at all.

Yep. Morning sickness. Remember that with complete clarity.
Fruit and fish was about all I could eat. The smell of cooking food almost had me heaving. Very unpleasant, especially when you're hungry. I sympathise.
The one thing that really upset me about morning sickness was that somehow it has left me with an allergy to kiwi fruit. Whenever I try to eat kiwi fruit now my throat swells up and gets very itchy. So, I don't try all that often!
Hope all goes well with the house, hon. xx
how odd! I've not tried kiwi fruit in a while hehehe. Yeh I can eat, like when I'm eating I'm ok, it's yummy but I can't eat much and the thought of eating is repellant. Seriously that's never me being a massive foody!
