Hurrah 10.5 weeks and, I'm starting to feel better now, the sickness seems to be subsiding and only appears randomly. THANK GOD! I really am not liking this not being able to eat thing. It's very odd.
So I'm drawing closer to my first scan. I'm both excited and nervous about it, mainly because it's the one to find out that everything is ok. I hope everything is ok. Al and I have been talking more often about what we'll do and I don't know what we'd do if I had to make the choice to end Bean. Hopefully though that'll not be necessary but I can't help but worry a little.
We did start discussing names on saturday though, Al likes Doom (LMAO!) - says it's a good strong name if it's a boy. Speaking on sex, two people have predicted a girl, two a baby (helpful eh?) and I reckon it's still going to be that rolly smokin alien ;)
this week...
The fetus is only about 1.2 inches / 3 centimetres long from crown to rump and weighs less than a sixth of an ounce / 4 grams. Even so, it's busily swallowing and kicking. Each day more minute details start to appear, such as fingernails and peach-fuzzy hair.
The vital organs -- the liver, kidneys, intestines, brain, and lungs -- are fully formed and functional, while the head is almost half the length of the entire body. The forehead temporarily bulges and sits high on the head, but later will change into a more human-like feature.
If you could take a look at your baby this week, you'd be able to see the clear outline of his spine. Spinal nerves stretch out from the spinal cord.
Bean be getting bigger then!
Had a nice weekend this weekend, if a little busy but it was my dads birthday so I went for lunch with him and my mum and my gran. On saturday night it was Mr Nicks birthday bash and it was really fun...even better when the birthday boy arrived in from work at 11 ;) It was good to see nick and joey and I do enjoy their company :)
Having rewiring done in my house today. This is a nightmare. This morning I was up at 5 moving furniture so the spark can get in and do the work. All is great but boy I sometimes wish I'd never started it ha ha! I have to focus on it being great when it's done but at the mo it's like will it ever be nice? Once the rewiring is done we can get the shower put in (please coz as I get bigger it's going to be a nightmare trying to wash myself by filling a measuring jug!) Then we have to plaster, so we might actually be able to get some decor on to the walls and some semblace of a nice house... maybe. Seems so daunting when we only have til April and the mortgage is going up!
Hmm while I remember I'll go put my lottery ticket on....
